Database Administrator
Hi, I’m Matt, a DBA from Jacksonville, FL.
My passion is crafting solutions ranging from server and database administration, to front and backend web design.
Responsible for administering 20 database servers in a highly secure military environment. Applying STIG security settings to each database server, including encryption of data in rest and in transit. Primarily responsible for a large scale data migration from SQL Server 2003 to SQL Server 2008 R2, including 40 applications. Configure websites using IIS 7.5 and Windows Server 2008 that reside on local intranet. Grant access to database systems using Active Directory authentication. Monitor performance on database servers, and take action such as tuning indexes, integrity checks, re-indexing data, and adding more resources when necessary. Work directly with customers to resolve database related issues.
Responsible for all stages of web development for large and small scale projects at Oyova Software.
Collaborated with team members at all phases of development. Regular updates and maintenance on existing sites.
Developed custom designs, and custom backend systems for clients. Troubleshoot server issues and Q/A for users.
Create database diagrams, tables, structures, and users for a variety of different sites. Lead developer on a number of large scale projects, including web software, and iPhone/Android App development.
Responsible for designing, coding, and routine changes on top real estate agent websites. Used a variety of software and languages, including Photoshop, Dreamweaver, ASP, jQuery, Javascript, and HTML/CSS on high traffic websites.
Redesigned and developed the website for FSU Faculty and Friends Club. Interacted directly with the Faculty to assess their needs and revamped their entire website over the course of the semester. Instructed users how to use and access the website and provide continued support to the Faculty and Friends Club. Found at facultyclub.fsu.edu
